Much like 'Thursday Afternoon' by the genius Brian Eno, 'Music For Airports' was and still is an exploration into 'Ambient Music'. The idea was to create a music-mood rather than a song structure and therefore create an album that could be played to create an atmosphere before a social event, such as playing the album before a concert to set a mood for the audience.
